Meta Ray-Ban (Gen 2) Wayfarer Smart AI Glasses, Black, Polarized Lenses

The Meta Ray-Ban (Gen 2) Wayfarer Smart AI Glasses blend iconic eyewear styling with wearable tech, making them a practical choice for anyone wanting hands-free media capture, personal audio, and AI assistance. These black frames feature polarized lenses and integrate a camera, microphones, and speakers directly into the temples, letting you interact with your digital life without pulling out your phone.

Visual capture is powered by an ultra-wide 12 MP camera that records video in up to 3K resolution, allowing you to document memories exactly as you see them. For audio, discreet open-ear speakers direct sound toward your ears so you can listen to music or take phone calls while remaining fully aware of your surroundings. When making calls or joining meetings, the microphone system cuts out up to 90% of wind and street noise to keep your voice clear.

Built-in Meta AI allows you to ask questions, identify objects, set reminders, and receive suggestions hands-free through voice commands. The glasses also offer live, real-time translation between English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Portuguese without needing Wi-Fi. On a single charge, the glasses run for up to 8 hours under moderate use, while the included charging case supplies up to 48 additional hours of power on the move.

There are a few functional limits to keep in mind. Individual video recordings are capped at 3 minutes per clip, so they are designed for short moments rather than continuous long-form recording. Additionally, while live translation works offline, general Meta AI features require a continuous Bluetooth pairing to your smartphone along with active mobile internet data. Voice controls can be toggled off at any time using the built-in privacy settings.

Verdict: The Meta Ray-Ban Gen 2 Wayfarer glasses are well suited for travelers, content creators, and commuters who want discreet audio, quick point-of-view recording, and helpful AI tools in a classic frame design.
