Detailed Review
The Belkin 6-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip provides an immediate expansion for crowded wall outlets without adding messy floor cables. Designed to plug directly into an existing wall receptacle, it turns a single socket into six surge-protected AC outlets alongside dedicated USB charging. It serves as a compact power hub for home theaters, office workstations, bedside areas, or entertainment setups needing multiple simultaneous connections.
Electrical defense is built around 1,680 joules of surge protection utilizing metal oxide varistors (MOVs). This shields sensitive electronics like computers, monitors, hard drives, projectors, and household appliances from overload, overcurrent, and voltage spikes. To keep you informed, a built-in safety indicator light signals whether your gear is actively protected or if the unit needs readjustment.
For everyday personal tech, the adapter includes a powered USB-C PD port and a standard USB-A port. This allows you to charge smartphones, tablets, and mobile peripherals from one central spot without taking up valuable AC plug space. The entire unit is ETL certified and supported by a comprehensive 14-point safety system featuring auto shutdown, 3-line AC safety, over-temperature defense, and fire-resistant materials.
Because this model mounts directly to the wall rather than using an extension lead, it must sit flush against your existing receptacle. Shoppers who need to route power several feet away from a distant outlet will need a traditional corded model. Additionally, the manufacturer specifications do not state the exact wattage breakdown for the USB charging ports.
Verdict: This Belkin wall tap is a dependable, clutter-free choice for anyone needing to power several desktop devices or home theater components from a single spot. It delivers robust surge suppression, modern USB connectivity, and strong safety backing in an efficient, cable-free format.
