Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 Studio Controller, 15 Macro Keys

The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is a dedicated studio controller built to simplify complex computer workflows for broadcasters, video editors, and content creators. By replacing complicated keyboard combinations with 15 customizable LCD keys, it gives you tactile control over your desktop tools, apps, and streaming platforms.

Daily operation relies on single-touch triggers that can launch single commands or string multiple actions together. You can adjust audio levels, mute your microphone, post to social feeds, or switch on Philips Hue lighting with one press. Because each key features an active LCD screen, you get immediate visual feedback to confirm that your command has actually run.

Software integration covers major production and communication apps, including OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Discord, Twitter, Spotify, and the Elgato 4KCU utility. For creative professionals, hotkey configuration helps speed up repetitive tasks across photography workflows, music production, and film editing.

As for trade-offs, the unit is limited to 15 physical interface keys, and the listing does not specify hardware dimensions, stand adjustability, or connection interface specifications. Buyers needing extensive hardware details before purchasing will need to look past the basic product sheet.

Verdict: The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is well suited for streamers, editors, and creators who want quick, visual control over their digital workspace. It provides an efficient way to automate frequent commands across your essential media and streaming apps.

A great fit if you:

• Stream on platforms like Twitch or YouTube and need fast scene switching and mic controls
• Edit video, photos, or music and want physical hotkeys for common actions
• Use smart devices like Philips Hue and want desktop-level button control

Consider something else if you:

• Require dozens of physical macro keys accessible simultaneously without switching screens
• Need detailed hardware dimension and connector specifications before buying
