Potensic ATOM SE GPS Drone with 4K EIS Camera, Under 249g, 62

The Potensic ATOM SE GPS Drone is a compact, foldable quadcopter built for flyers who want high-resolution aerial imaging without the hassle of FAA and Remote ID registration. Weighing less than 249 grams, it folds down small enough to slip into a jacket pocket, making it a highly portable option for travel and spontaneous outdoor filming.

Equipped with a 1/3-inch Sony CMOS sensor, the drone captures 12MP still photos and shoots 4K video at 30 frames per second. Its built-in ShakeVanish electronic image stabilization (EIS) pairs with an 118-degree field of view and a vertical camera tilt from +20 degrees to -90 degrees, ensuring steady footage from diverse angles. Power is supplied by two 2500mAh intelligent batteries that deliver up to 31 minutes each, giving you 62 total minutes of flight time before needing a recharge.

Flight handling relies on the SurgeFly control system, which offers Beginner Mode along with Video, Normal, and Sport modes. In Sport Mode, the brushless motors push top speeds up to 16 meters per second in 2.8 seconds while offering level-5 wind resistance. The PixSync 2.0 system provides low-latency HD digital video transmission up to a range of 4 kilometers (13,123 feet), and GPS features like Auto Return, Follow Me, Waypoint Flight, and Circle Flight give pilots reliable automated tracking and safety.

When it comes to trade-offs, the package does not include the micro SD card, which you must supply separately to store media and perform camera-related FOTA firmware updates. Phone compatibility is also restricted to devices running iOS 11 or Android 7.0 and newer, though Potensic includes adapter cables for Lightning, Type-C, and Micro-USB connections.

Verdict: The Potensic ATOM SE is a capable, portable choice for casual videographers and beginner-to-intermediate pilots who want 4K recording, long dual-battery airtime, and reliable GPS safety without the need for registration paperwork.
