SAMSUNG 65-inch Class QLED 4K The Terrace Partial Sun Outdoor, Direct Full Array 16x, Quantum HDR 32x, Weatherproof, Wide Viewing Angle Smart TV w/ Alexa Built-in (QN65LST7TAFXZA, Latest Model)

Bringing entertainment into an open-air patio requires hardware that can cope with unpredictable elements, and the Samsung The Terrace 65-inch outdoor TV is built to meet that specific demand. It pairs a weather-hardened exterior with high-end display technologies, allowing homeowners to set up an outdoor lounge without worrying about standard environmental hazards. Because it carries an IP55 durability rating, the casing is designed to resist dust intrusion and water exposure, making it suitable for exterior living spaces.

Screen performance in daylight is often difficult for regular televisions, but this unit addresses ambient brightness using 4K QLED panel engineering backed by Direct Full Array 16x and Quantum HDR 32x. These display systems produce deep contrast and punchy illumination so that the picture remains vivid when viewing outside. In addition, an anti-glare finish combined with wide viewing angles prevents harsh light reflections and preserves color clarity, ensuring people sitting across different parts of a patio still get an enjoyable view.

The internal smart platform runs on Tizen, granting quick access to popular streaming apps and various system enhancements right out of the box. Users can connect to their residential internet over integrated Wi-Fi or stream audio and connect external peripherals via Bluetooth. Built-in Alexa handles hands-free voice operation, so you can change channels, find movies, cue music, check sports scores, or manage connected smart home devices without needing to reach for a remote control.

As an outdoor-focused display, it represents a substantial physical commitment that demands an appropriate partial sun setting. The product is rated specifically for partial sun spaces rather than direct, relentless sun exposure, which means placement under a pergola, covered deck, or porch roof is vital to preserve optimal picture quality. Its 65-inch dimensions also mean buyers must plan for sturdy exterior mounting solutions and check that their outdoor walls can handle the footprint.

Verdict: This outdoor smart TV is an excellent choice for homeowners looking to build a high-performance patio or veranda setup protected from direct downpours and full sun. If you need a television for fully exposed yard areas without any overhead cover, a dedicated full-sun model would be a more suitable direction.

A great fit if you:

• Want an exterior entertainment display protected against moisture and dust by an IP55-certified weather-resistant housing.
• Need a high-contrast 4K screen with anti-glare treatment to watch daytime sports and movies under covered patios.
• Prefer hands-free voice control via built-in Alexa to manage media playback, get sports updates, and operate smart home gear.
• Rely on streaming platforms and wireless device pairing using integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the Tizen operating system.

Consider something else if you:

• Need a screen designed specifically for harsh, uncovered direct sunlight all day long, where a dedicated full-sun display is required.
• Have a compact balcony or tight nook that would be better served by a smaller outdoor display size.
• Prefer an inexpensive indoor television paired with an aftermarket protective enclosure.

Confirm on the listing:

• Check whether a specialized outdoor wall mount or table stand is included in the package or sold separately.
• Measure your intended installation space to confirm that a 65-inch television fits comfortably under your patio roof or covered structure.
• Check the details regarding included weather-resistant remote controls, power cable lengths, and port cover accessories.
• Confirm the strength of your home Wi-Fi signal in your outdoor seating area to ensure uninterrupted streaming.

How to compare your options: When shopping for an exterior television, primary criteria include the ingress protection rating against water and dust, specialized anti-glare filters, and lighting capability for daytime viewability. The Samsung The Terrace offers an IP55 rating, Quantum HDR 32x, and Direct Full Array 16x, making it well-suited for partial sun zones. If your space receives direct overhead sun with no shade, verify whether you need a model rated for full sun instead.

Careful positioning and basic maintenance habits will help you maintain clear visibility and reliable performance across seasons.

• Mount or place the unit in an area that stays within partial sun conditions, ideally shielded beneath an awning, gazebo, or porch ceiling.
• Position seating to take advantage of the wide viewing angle and anti-glare panel design, ensuring everyone has an unobstructed line of sight.
• Connect the television to your home Wi-Fi network and link your Alexa profile during initial setup to utilize hands-free voice commands.
• Pair personal devices or compatible audio equipment using the built-in Bluetooth connection for wireless sound transmission.
• If outdoor dirt or dust gathers on the frame, wipe the exterior gently according to the instructions in the included care manual.
