Detailed Review
The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is a multi-platform gaming headset designed for players who want high-fidelity audio across several devices. It addresses the common nuisance of battery downtime and cable swapping by combining a dual-battery charging station with multi-system connectivity for PC, consoles, and mobile gear.
At the center of the setup is the OLED Base Station, which features dual USB ports to connect hardware such as an Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, PC, or Mac. You can switch between connected platforms at the press of a button, while also adjusting volume, ChatMix, and EQ settings directly on the display. The station doubles as a charger for the spare battery, letting you hot-swap power cells so the headset stays operational without tethering you to a charge cable.
Audio flexibility extends to concurrent wireless streams. You can listen to lag-free 2.4GHz game sound while simultaneously streaming Discord, music, or phone calls over Bluetooth. In-game awareness is supported by 360-degree spatial audio compatible with Microsoft Spatial Sound and PS5 Tempest 3D Audio, while a 4-mic hybrid active noise cancellation system tunes out room distractions. When communication is needed, the ClearCast Gen 2 microphone uses AI algorithms via Sonar Software to silence background noise, retracting flush into the earcup when not in use.
While the headset provides deep audio control, the professional-grade parametric EQ requires the desktop Sonar Software, meaning full audio customization depends on a PC connection. Additionally, the manufacturer notes that resolving occasional Bluetooth connectivity hiccups may require turning the Bluetooth function off and on again.
Verdict: This headset is an excellent choice for multi-platform gamers who prioritize uninterrupted wireless playtime and simultaneous audio mixing. If you switch regularly between consoles and PC while taking calls or chatting on Discord, it offers exceptional versatility.
